Large parts of our society are in flux, and as a result so are our cities. The transformation of industrial areas, manufacturing sites and port facilities are opening up new potential for the development of exciting urban spaces.
Many of these sites, which have lain waste for some time, provide an exciting opportunity to use new ideas to develop economically viable projects on top of an illustrious past. Our office has amassed comprehensive experience in this area over recent years.
A further key field is the redevelopment of urban spaces that require restructuring as a result of demolition or misdevelopment. Our goal in such cases is to reinforce the original function of a city centre as a crystallisation point for trade, administration and culture. A main focus of our office has been planning and implementing the sensitive integration of contemporary trade structures in urban centres as opposed to on greenfield sites.
